Contractual Documents

Use of the platform is governed by the terms of use. The paid offers reserved for professionals are governed by the general sales terms, and the processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy. The sections of this page summarise their main points; in case of discrepancy, those documents prevail.

Accounts and Eligibility

Visitors: optional account for favourites, alerts, reviews and contacting professionals. Minimum age: 18.

Professionals: only professionals may create a professional account, free of charge, and publish listings. We may request documents to verify professional status.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

Business Model and Services

• Free professional account.
• Premium subscription: EUR 497 excluding tax or USD 497 per month, with no commitment.
• Single Off-Market listing: EUR 297 excluding tax or USD 297 per listing, with no time limit on publication.

Translations: listings and articles may be machine-translated; the advertiser remains responsible for the accuracy of its content. We do not guarantee error-free translations.

Listing Rules and Prohibited Content

Advertisers must ensure listings are accurate, lawful and free of third-party rights (text, images, logos).

Prohibited: illegal goods or services, counterfeits, defamatory or discriminatory content, hate, sexual content involving minors, regulated weapons, illicit drugs, personal data without a legal basis or consent, and any violation of applicable laws.

We may review, refuse, down-rank or remove content at our discretion.

Platform Role and Liability

Royal Sybaris acts as an intermediary. We are not the owner, seller or provider of the goods and services presented. Transactions take place directly between visitors and advertisers, who are solely responsible for their legal compliance.

Ranking and Sponsored Content

The ranking criteria for listings and the labelling of sponsored content are described in the “Advertising & Ranking” section below.

Payments, Subscriptions and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe: card, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay, SEPA Direct Debit for the Premium subscription paid in euros and ACH Direct Debit for the Premium subscription paid in US dollars; the single Off-Market listing is paid by card. Both offers carry the “Money-back guarantee” described in the “Refunds & Subscriptions” section.

Intellectual Property

By posting content, advertisers grant Royal Sybaris a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, translate, adapt, communicate and distribute the content, on the platform and through its distribution partners, while it is on the platform and for a reasonable archiving period.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Royal Sybaris's total liability is limited to the amounts you paid to Royal Sybaris in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Royal Sybaris harmless from claims arising out of your use, your content or listings, or your breach of these Terms or of third-party rights.

Termination

You may request the closure of your account at any time, from the “Privacy” section of your personal space or by writing to support. We may suspend or close an account for violations, legal risk, fraud or in accordance with a decision of a competent authority.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing law: State of Florida, USA. Binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA). Class-action waiver to the extent permitted by law. You may opt out of the arbitration clause by written notice sent to support within 30 days of your acceptance; disputes are then subject to the competent courts of the State of Florida. Consumers residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

Miscellaneous

Severability, entire agreement, no waiver, assignment. Updates: we may amend these Terms; the version in force is published with its date of update, and professionals are informed the next time they log in to the professional space. In case of discrepancy between translations, the English version prevails unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Data Collected

• Accounts: identity, contact details, language, security settings, favourites, alerts.
• Professional accounts: organisation details, professional verification, listings, profile, billing data.
• Connections: contact requests and off-market access requests.
• Assistance tools: AI Interview answers, voice recordings, texts submitted for rewriting or translation.
• Technical data: logs, IP address, device and browser information and, with your consent, audience measurement.
• Payments: processed by Stripe; we store neither full card details nor bank account details.

Purposes and Legal Bases

• Providing and operating the Services: accounts, listings, connections, magazine, assistance tools and translation (contract).
• Sale of paid offers, invoicing and accounting (contract and legal obligations).
• Professional verification, moderation, security, prevention of fraud, spam and abuse (legitimate interests).
• Newsletter (consent, with confirmation of the email address).
• Audience measurement and non-essential cookies (consent).
• Legal compliance (legal obligations and legitimate requests from authorities).

Data Sharing

• Service providers: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), file storage and translation (Amazon Web Services, Amazon Translate), payments (Stripe), email (Brevo), artificial intelligence tools (OpenAI), error tracking (Sentry), audience measurement after consent (Vercel Web Analytics, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity), questionnaires (Google Sheets) and mapping (OpenStreetMap, Esri).
• Professionals receiving contact and off-market access requests, and distribution partners for public listings.
• Authorities: where required by law or a court order, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for targeted advertising.

International Transfers

For EEA and UK residents, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK IDTA.

Retention

• Accounts: while in use; after the account is closed, data is deleted or anonymized as soon as possible, except data that the law requires to be kept (invoices, accounting records).
• Accounts never confirmed or used: deleted 7 days after registration.
• Contact requests: anonymized 24 months after the last exchange, unless a dispute is ongoing.
• Exchanges with support, technical logs and questionnaire answers: 3 years at most.
• Billing records: per applicable accounting and tax rules.

Other periods are set out in Article 5 of the privacy policy.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, which you exercise from the “Privacy” section of your personal space or at privacy@royal-sybaris.com. US state privacy rights (e.g. California CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; Royal Sybaris neither sells nor shares personal data within the meaning of those laws.

Security

Technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk: encryption of exchanges, hashed passwords, two-factor authentication, role-based access control, a tamper-proof audit log and selection of service providers. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

The Services are not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Consent Management

The site has its own consent banner, with no third-party platform. On the first visit, it allows you to accept or refuse non-essential trackers; none is enabled by default. Your choice is kept for 6 months and can be changed at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Types

• Essential, set without consent: session and login security cookies, a cookie recording the consent choice (6 months), cookies attributing a registration to the referral or affiliate link through which the visitor arrived (90 days), and browser local storage used to keep a questionnaire draft or to avoid recording a purchase twice.
• Audience measurement, with consent: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, present in consent mode and setting no cookies until you accept; Vercel Web Analytics, cookieless; Microsoft Clarity, which records browsing interactions and is loaded only after your consent.
• Marketing: this banner category does not currently enable any tracker. Google's advertising signals remain denied in all circumstances.

Third-Party Services

• Mapping: OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) and Esri, called when a map is displayed, receive the visitor's IP address.
• Translation: Amazon Translate (does not place cookies in your browser).

Takedown Notice

A valid notice must include:

• A physical/electronic signature of the rights holder or their agent.
• Identification of the copyrighted work and of the allegedly infringing material (exact URL(s)).
• The complainant's contact details.
• A good-faith statement and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

Takedown and Counter-Notice

We may remove or disable access to reported material. An advertiser's counter-notice must include: signature, identification of the removed material, a good-faith statement, consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court, and contact details.

Repeat Infringers

Accounts of repeat infringers may be terminated.

Ranking

The listings displayed are those matching the criteria chosen by the visitor: category, country, city, budget, keywords and filters specific to each category. By default, they are sorted from the most recent to the oldest, by publication date. The visitor may choose another order: “Most loved” (number of times saved as a favourite), price from low to high or price from high to low. No payment changes the position of a listing in search results or in category lists.

Premium Benefits

Listings of professionals with a Premium subscription carry a Premium badge. On the page of a Premium professional's listing, the suggestions show that professional's other listings or, failing that, magazine articles, and never the listings of other professionals. In magazine articles, the Premium subscription is a secondary criterion for selecting suggested listings, after category and language.

Sponsored Content

Sponsored banners are labelled “Sponsored by”, followed by the advertiser's name.

Reviews and Ratings

A review may be posted only by a user who has had a real interaction with the professional through the platform. Fake or manipulated reviews are prohibited and may be removed; the professional may dispute a review.

Premium Subscription (Professionals)

Monthly renewal, no commitment. Cancellation at any time from the “Manage my billing” section of the professional space, effective at the end of the current period. Money-back guarantee: a refund of the current billing month may be requested before it ends. No retroactive refunds for previous periods.

Single Off-Market Listing

Money-back guarantee: a refund of the purchase may be requested from support, without having to give a reason. The corresponding Off-Market listing is then unpublished.

Procedure

Requests: support@royal-sybaris.com with the account identifier and the purchase references; no reason is required. Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.

Chargebacks

We may dispute unjustified chargebacks and suspend accounts in the event of abuse.

Moderation

Submitted listings are checked against automatic rules set by the moderation team; a listing that does not meet those rules is reviewed by a moderator. Reviews, magazine articles and reported content are subject to human review.

Reporting

Email abuse@royal-sybaris.com with the URL of the content, its description, the legal basis relied on where applicable, and screenshots.

Decisions and Appeals

We inform advertisers of removals and suspensions, with the reasons. Appeals may be filed at appeals@royal-sybaris.com. We comply with legitimate requests from authorities.

Repeat Violations

Repeated or serious violations, fraud or legal risks may result in suspension or closure of the account.
